Caltrain Live Beta Program
The Caltrain Live Beta Program lets you experience upcoming features and improvements made to the app before they are made generally available. Users enrolled in the program will receive builds of Caltrain Live that have been tested and are expected to be fully functional, but these builds may have more bugs, errors, and performance issues than production releases of Caltrain Live. Beta builds of Caltrain Live are named "Caltrain Live β" to distinguish them from production releases, so you'll always know which version you have.
For Android devices
To receive beta updates, open the Google Play Store Listing for Caltrain Live on your Android device, scroll down, and press "Join the beta". Then, you'll receive beta builds of Caltrain Live through regular Google Play updates.
To leave the program, open the Google Play Store Listing for Caltrain Live on your Android device, scroll down, and press "Leave the beta". You may need to uninstall and reinstall Caltrain Live to return to a production build.

For Apple devices
To receive beta updates, click here to join the Caltrain Live TestFlight. Then, you can install beta builds through the TestFlight app on your device. You can leave the program at any time by uninstalling Caltrain Live beta and re-installing Caltrain Live through the Apple App Store.
There are some major limitations of the TestFlight system imposed by Apple:
- Beta builds expire 90 days after release. Since Caltrain Live is not updated very frequently, you'll need to switch to a production build by reinstalling Caltrain Live when the beta builds expire.
- When the beta builds expire, the TestFlight link will show "This beta isn't accepting any new testers right now". If you see this message, you'll need to wait for a new build before joining the program.
